Core Dump - Work In Progress
April 20, 1998 : Delays and deadlines
This weekend I've been slaving away on perfecting the difficulty settings. There will be three (or four, maybe) difficulty settings in the game: easy, normal, hard, and (maybe) "blimey!". That last setting would be extremely hard.
Also, I've changed the main sprite again. And if that wasn't enough, I added a new moving platform type...
Why are you doing this? Finish the game, for xxx's sake!
I've heard that before. But, I want it to be a great game. And for that, playability is everything. Such things are extremely hard to get right, but I am really trying to.
I really wish I could spend more time on the game now, but I can't (got to study and lots of other things keep popping up). So there you go. The game needs more time to get it to the level I want it to be, but I've really got little time to work on it.
So... when will it be released then?
Wrong question, simply put. 90% is done and it's in really good, but there are a lot of things to get in, and getting them in right will take some more time. Maybe 3 weeks... if I would do it fulltime, but I can't!
In the meantime, just play "the lost world" until you can sink your teeth into Core Dump!
